Posh can continue her fashion and music pursuits, Becks can swing in crosses from the right wing...and in an unprecedented move for Soccer, or perhaps Sports...
Beckham will receive 50% of ALL T-shirt sales royalties and a share of the gate receipts as well.
The whole deal has been rumored to be near $250mm for 5 years...
now there are a lot of "ifs" involved in that $250mm...many of them related to sponsorships etc...but most accounts have the galaxy's portion of this at $10mm a year...again probably some fuzzy math in there.
I for one am excited he is joining MLS...I will definitely go watch when he comes to NYC

If the Galaxy really wanted to blow up w/ the fan base down there, why not hire Ronaldo or another latino star who would be an even bigger draw to the spanish-speaking fan base in LA? they did pick up the one soccer name that most of America knows, which is good. but why do they care about the gate in Cincinnati?
MLS will be happy though, because leaguewide they'll draw soccer naifs to the stadium, people who only know Beckham's name from reading articles about Posh in People Magazine. like Chris for example.

Beckham owns a youth soccer academy in LA as well...Ronaldo is rumored ot be coming to NY Redbulls in a year or so...
Also, LA has a team that is built to appeal to the latino population in Chivas, The Galaxy are more for the suburban OC crowd
