While watching the game I had what I think is a brilliant idea: Why not have a college football playoff, instead of the current silly bowl system? That's right, you heard it here first.
I'll start. While a college football playoff might be interesting, what problem are we trying to solve with one? Is there a sudden dip in fan interest in CFB that I am unaware of? Is there some question as to the best team in the nation is this year? Have we missed out on exciting bowl games and exciting BCS Championship games (OSU vs. Miami, Texas vs. USC) because of a lack of a playoff?
I was watching that show "Shark" with James Woods (not bad by the way) and one of his deputy DA's says something that doesn't make sense and Woods starts his response by tapping the deputy on the forehead and saying "Is this thing on?"
